Sicily is an Italian island filled with stunning landscapes, rich history, and vibrant culture. It's a great destination for street photographers who want to capture the essence of Sicilian life. I recently spent a day in Sicily exploring some of its most beautiful places, including Catania, Mount Etna, Castillo di Castelmola, Taormina, and Acireale. Here are some of my favorite moments and tips for capturing the best street photography in Sicily.

Street photography is a genre that captures the essence of daily life and the urban environment. It is an art form that requires patience, observation, and an eye for detail. I recently had the opportunity to explore and photograph two German cities, Cologne and Dortmund, while I was in town to give lectures about photography at FHBK (in Dortmund). These cities provided a rich tapestry of photographic opportunities that I could not resist.

I recently got the chance to travel to Dubai and Qatar, and while there was no shortage of spectacular vistas for me to photograph, from the soaring buildings of Abu Dhabi Creekside to the serene grandeur of the Grand Mosque (which proved to be my favourite place)…. at the end I found the place to be ‘shallow’.

I recently got the chance to travel to Vietnam as a photographer, and I was absolutely floored by the incredible street photography opportunities the nation has to offer. Vietnam is a photographer's dream, from the busy streets of Hanoi to the ancient beauty of Hue and Hoi An.

Some weeks ago I was in Gozo with a group of friends and in our spare time I was roaming around in the main city of Rabat (mainly) and some shots in Nadur, capturing whatever caught my eyes.

In this assignment I was able to access and document the trip of his Holiness in Malta. It was a truly a pure photographic and spiritual journey to be able to cover the events of the visit of Pope Francis in Malta in first person. At the end of the weekend my body was tired but my heart was overflowing with joy.

As a passionate photographer in Malta, I intend to try to give you some additional value by aiding you to improve your photography. I usually look at one of my images and can quickly tell if I like it or not, however at times I am not able to describe why. I have therefore relooked at some of my street photography images (which I shared here https://www.soulfulimagery.com/blog/vivian-maier-photography-for-the-sake-of-photography) taken this month and tried to deconstruct them and comment on why I consider that they work well.
