The goal is not to change your subjects, but for the subject to change the photographer. – Anonymous

I have been interested in photography for as long as I can remember. My favorite class in my entire high school career was the photography class that I took. Considering that I was in high school well over a decade ago we took photos with film, which we bulk loaded and developed the pictures ourselves in the school darkroom. I remember feeling so at home when I was behind the camera and that feeling continues today. I feel as though I am meant to be a photographer; that this is my calling in life. I love the excitement of the “chase”, so to speak, of getting the great shot and the subsequent blissfulness at knowing I captured what I was hoping for. Even more so, in photographing people I adore being able to interact with people on such an intimate level. This is one of the reasons that I am an on-location photographer. I feel that taking photographs outside of a studio and in places where my clients feel most comfortable allows me to capture the emotive photographs that I dream of.

On a more personal note, I am a wife and mother to four children. We live in a small, but cozy home in Superior, Wisconsin and we are surrounded by wonderful neighbors and friends. My husband and I feel so blessed to live where we do, and we get out with our children and enjoy the nature around us as often as we can. It is certainly not difficult to find beautiful subjects to photograph here in the north woods!
